We had a very nice Sunday morning breakfast to celebrate Mother’s Day! As I’ve said before, every day should be a celebration of the mother! Sunday afternoon while going through some Cow/Calf Pairs, I thought what a wonderful creature God created in the momma cow. She’s tough like no other & can utilize so many byproducts of agriculture to create nature’s finest protein. God Bless the momma cow & all she does for us!
Fed Cattle/Weigh Cows Tues. May. 7th:
We had a light run of Fed Cattle on a steady market. Weigh Cows & Bulls were extremely active. A new top on the bull market with a high yield Charolais weighing 2370# @$188.50. We had 67 weigh bulls with most bulls @$157-$177

Special Bred Female/Pairs/Bulls May 8th:
The cow auction Wednesday featured some outstanding breeding animals. Nearly 300 Pairs, 250 Bred Cows & 41 Breeding Bulls made up almost 900 head. Once again, a huge crowd on the seats plus great demand off the internet. Interesting that we only split one pair all day. Top bull fetched $4250, top Breds @$2850, & top Pairs @$3700. The average on all Pairs that sold was $3002 & the average on all Breds sold was $2424. Our next Special Female & Bull auction is Wednesday May 22nd!

Friday’s feeder auction had a great crowd in person & online. This past week saw future down hard on Tues. & Wed., but put in a much higher day on Thursday. The yo-yo continues! Here are some actual sales:
