For over 70 years, Dunlap Livestock Auction has been the place where buyers and sellers meet to participate in one of the last true price discovery mechanisms in the United States...the livestock auction. Competitive marketing allows the seller to achieve the highest possible price available for their livestock in an auction setting.
This industry has weathered so many ups and downs over time they are too numerous to mention.
This latest down turn is really hard to wrap your arms around because so much is out of our control.
I want to mention that our plans will remain the same. We will provide you the avenue to merchandise your livestock.
We will do everything in our power to make that avenue the most competitive road as possible. We may hate the market but I do
think it’s important that the market works and has a chance to trade. Auctions are the most important part of that price discovery process.
Obviously, fear is a huge part of any market. Unfortunately, fear is hard that work right now.
As always if you have any questions about the markets don’t hesitate to call.
The Dunlap Livestock Auction will remain with our weekly schedule with auctions every Tuesday,
